The Brewster's angle for glass of refractive index 1.5 is
Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 1
The correct answer is Option (1) → \( 56.3^\circ \)
At the Brewster angle \( i_B \) the reflected light is completely plane polarised, and the reflected and refracted rays are at \( 90^\circ \) to each other. This gives Brewster's law:
\( \displaystyle \tan i_B = \mu \)
\( \displaystyle i_B = \tan^{-1}(1.5) = 56.3^\circ \)
