Numbers of students appeared (A) and passed (P) in an annual examination from four schools P, Q, R and S in five years (2014 to 2018).

Find the difference in avg. no. of students passed from Q in (2014 and 2016) and avg. no. of students passed from P in same years.

Total students passed from Q in 2014 and 2016 = 340 + 288 = 628

Avg. = \(\frac{628}{2}\) = 314

Total no. of students passed from P in 2014 and 2016 = 240 + 286 = 526 

Avg. = \(\frac{526}{2}\) = 263

difference = 314 - 263 = 51
