Question:

The sum of present age of P and Q is 48 years. Today Q is 4 years older than R . The respective ratio of present age of P and R is 4 : 7. What is Q's age two year hence ( in years ) ?

Options:

30

32

34

36

Correct Answer:

34

Explanation:

It is given that -

 P + Q= 48

 Q = R + 4

Then,

P +R = 44

ratio of →            P   :    R

                          4   :     7

Let  age of P = 4x

      age of R = 7x

As,    11x = 44

          1x = 4

 age of R = 7x

             = 7 × 4 = 28

  Q = 28 + 4 = 32

  Q age two year hence = 32 + 2 = 34 years
