Ram can do a work in 15 days. If Mohan works 50% faster than Ram, then in how many days will they be able to do the work if they work together?

Total work = Efficiency × Time

Mohan works 50% faster than Ram

Ratio of efficiency of Mohan and Ram = 3 : 2

Ratio of time of Mohan and Ram = 2 : 3 

According to question,

3R = 15 days

1R = 5days

2R = 2 × 5 = 10Days

Let us consider , total work = 30 ( LCM of 10 & 15 )

Time taken by Mohan and Ram to complete the work together = \(\frac{Work}{Efficiency}\)

= \(\frac{30}{ 3 + 2 }\)

= \(\frac{30}{ 5 }\)

= 6 days

The correct answer is Option (2) → 6
