Women are not paid wages in cash or in the form of grains and sometimes they are not paid at all. According to you, why these women are not considered to be "workers"?

Because they do not contribute to the GNP

All those activities which contribute to the gross national product are called economic activities and all those who are engaged in economic activities, in whatever capacity — high or low, are known as workers. As, these women are not paid in cash thus, leading to no contribution in the GNP of the country. Thus, these women are not considered as workers.
