Nasiruddin Shah

Correct Answer:

Malik Kafur

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option 1- Malik Kafur

Malik Kafur was a slave-general of Alauddin Khalji, the third ruler of the Khalji dynasty. He was captured by Alauddin's general Nusrat Khan during the 1299 invasion of Gujarat, and rose to prominence in the 1300s. Malik Kafur was a capable and ruthless military commander. He was also a skilled administrator and diplomat. He played a major role in the expansion of the Khalji empire and the consolidation of Alauddin's power.

Malik Kafur led multiple campaigns to the south of the Vindhyas, obtaining a considerable amount of wealth from Devagiri (1308), Warangal (1310) and Dwarasamudra (1311). These victories forced the Yadava king Ramachandra, the Kakatiya king Prataparudra, and the Hoysala king Ballala III to become Alauddin's tributaries. Kafur also raided the Pandya kingdom (1311), obtaining much treasure, elephants, and horses. During the last years of Alauddin's life, Malik Kafur became the de facto ruler of the Sultanate after being promoted to the rank of viceroy (Na'ib).
