Two years ago, Mihir's age was 2 times of her son's age and after 2 years, 3 times of his age will be equal to 5 times his son's age. Find the present age of Mihir .

Let the present age of Mihir = 2x + 2 

present age of Mihir's son = x + 2 

Now, after 2 years 

According to question , 3 ( 2x + 4) = 5 ( x+ 4) 

                                 6x + 12 =  5x + 20

                                        x  =  8 years

present age of Mihir = 2(8) + 2 = 18
