Hence, the Petrol Pump Manager tries to improve Saksham's performance through maintaining good personal relations with him and thus to achieve goals of the organisation. Otherwise Petrol Pump Manager likes to give orders and expects his subordinates to obey them without any contradiction. He believes reward and punishment both can be given depending upon the result.

The leadership style usually followed by the Petrol Pump Manager is :

Options:

Participative Leadership style

Free-rein Leadership style

Dogmatic Leadership style

Free-Lancer Leadership style

Correct Answer:

Dogmatic Leadership style

Explanation:

Autocratic or Authoritarian leader: An autocratic leader gives orders and expects his subordinates to obey those orders. If a manager is following this style, then communication is only one-way with the subordinate only acting according to the command given by the manager. This leader is dogmatic, i.e., does not change or wish to be contradicted. His following is based on the assumption that reward or punishment both can be given depending upon the result.
