A man rides at the speed of  22 km/hr, but stops for 3 min to change horse at the end of every 6 km. Find the time taken by him to cover the distance of 110 km.

Speed = 22km/hr

Distance = 110km

Minimum time without stoppage = \(\frac{110}{22}\) = 5hrs.

If he stops for 3 mins. after every 6 km , then to cover 110km , he will stop for at least 18 times.

So, total stoppage time = 18 × 3 = 54 min 

Total time taken to cover 110 km = 5 hours + 54 minutes = 5 hours 54 minutes
