The average runs of a cricket player in 20 matches is 30. If the average of the first 12 matches is 40, find the average of the last 8 matches.

Let average runs of last 8 matches = A runs

According to question ,

12 × 40 + 8 × A = 20 × 30

480 + 8A = 600

8A = 120

A = \(\frac{120}{8}\) = 15

So , average runs of last 8 matches = 15 runs
