The ratio of the prices of A and B is 5 : 9, and prices of C and D is 24 : 13. The price of C is Rs.1500 more than the price of B, and the price of D is Rs. 1,300. Find the price of A.

Let the ratio in first be x and second be y

Then, 24y - 9x = 1500    -----(i)

                13y = 1300    -----(ii)

Solving, y = 100 and x = 100
