Question:

Read the passage and answer the four questions that follow:-

In the domain of solar innovation, progress is both subtle and ground-breaking. From solar panels adorned with nanowires to windows that magically transform light into electricity, the spectrum of innovations is as diverse as promising.

India stands not as a mere spectator but as a prominent player in the global solar revolution. India currently stands 4th globally in solar power capacity. In the last five years, the country's solar installed capacity has experienced a monumental transformation. With ambitious targets and policies like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI), the Solar Park Scheme, designed to establish 50 Solar Parks of 500 MW, and schemes such as PM-KUSUM - aimed to achieve solar power capacity addition of 30.8 GW by March 2026 are transforming India's agricultural sector. With the Rooftop Solar Programme for the residential sector and the Off-grid Solar PV Applications Programme for rural areas, India is propelling itself to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. The commitment is not just towards sustainable energy but towards securing a greener tomorrow for the entire planet.

As we move forward, the solar industry's declining costs, enhanced energy storage solutions, and grid advancements take centre stage. The industry has witnessed increased decentralisation, widespread adoption, and a surge in solar projects, reflecting a commitment to a sustainable energy future. Solar energy is becoming not just an option but a global necessity.

The journey is not just towards sustainable energy but towards a vibrant and resilient economy illuminated by the sun's rays.

Give a suitable title to the passage:-

Options:

Solar Power Revolution

Ambitious Government Schemes

Renewable Energy-The Future

India Takes Over the World

Correct Answer:

Solar Power Revolution

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option (1) → Solar Power Revolution

  • The passage discusses the progress in solar innovation ("subtle and ground-breaking"), India's role as a "prominent player" (global revolution), and the monumental transformation occurring due to various ambitious schemes.

  • The title Solar Power Revolution effectively captures the core focus (solar energy) and the theme of massive, transformative change described throughout the text.

  • Ambitious Government Schemes is too narrow, focusing only on the programs, not the broader solar landscape.

  • Renewable Energy-The Future is too broad; the passage focuses specifically on solar energy, not all renewables.

  • India Takes Over the World is an exaggerated and inaccurate claim based on the text.
