7 years ago , the ages of P & Q are in ratio 4 : 5 and 7 years hence, their ages will be in ratio 5 : 6 . What will be ratio of their ages 5 years from now ?

7 years ago ratio of age of P and Q = 4 : 5

After 7 years from present = 5 : 6

ATQ,

⇒ \(\frac{4R + 14}{5R + 14}\) = \(\frac{5}{6}\)

⇒ 24R + 84 = 25R + 70

⇒ 1R = 14

⇒ 7 years ago age of P = (4 × 14) = 56 and

    age of Q = (5 × 14) = 70

Now,

Rahul's present age => 56 + 7 = 63 years

Sahil's present age => 70 + 7  = 77 years

Hence,

P's age after 5 years = 63 + 5 = 68 

Q's age after 5 year = 77 + 5 = 82 

Required ratio → 68 : 82 = 34 : 41
