A man's wage was reduced by 50%. Again, the reduced wage was increased by 50%. Find his loss in terms of percentage:
10%
15%
20%
25%
The correct answer is Option (4) → 25%
Let's assume the man's initial wage was 100.
First Change (50% Reduction):
Reduction = 50% of 100=50
New Wage = 100−50=50
Second Change (50% Increase on the reduced wage):
Increase = 50% of 50 = 25
Final Wage = 50+25 = 75
Calculate the Net Loss:
Total Loss = Initial Wage - Final Wage = 100−75=25
Loss Percentage = (10025)×100=25%
