Question:

Rahul’s salary is 40% less than Rakesh’s salary. Deepak’s salary is 80% more than Rahul’s salary. If Deepak’s salary is ₹ 34560, then what is the salary of Rakesh?

Options:

₹32000

₹24000

₹28000

₹26000

Correct Answer:

₹32000

Explanation:

40% = \(\frac{2}{5}\) & 80% = \(\frac{4}{5}\)

Rahul's salary  :  Rakesh’s salary  =  3  :  5

Rahul's salary  :  Deepak’s salary  = 5   :   9

Rahul's salary  :  Rakesh’s salary  : Deepak’s salary = 15 : 25 : 27

ATQ,

27R = 34560

1R = 1280

Rakesh's salary = 25R = 25 × 1280 = 32000
