Question:

A and B started a business and out of a total profit of Rs.9000, B takes Rs.500 as a bonus and the remaining profit distributed between them according to their investment. If B invested \(\frac{1}{7}\) more than A. Then find the share of B out of the total profit.

Options:

3800

6300

5300

4800

Correct Answer:

5300

Explanation:

Total profit = 9000

Extra taken by B = 500

Remaining profit = 9000 - 500 = 8500

*If time is same then investment ratio becomes profit ratio*

            A    :   B

Profit:  7     :   8  = 15R

⇒ 15R = 9000

⇒ 1R = 600

B's Profit = 8R = 8 × 600 = 4800

B' s total profit = 4800 + 500 = 5300
