Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 2
The correct answer is Option (2) → (A), (B), (C), (D)
(A) Khetri — first, the westernmost, in Rajasthan.
(B) Alwar — second. It is also in Rajasthan, a little east of Khetri.
(C) Balaghat — third, in Madhya Pradesh, in the centre of the country.
(D) Singhbhum — last, the easternmost, in Jharkhand.
Note: Khetri never appears in the chapter lines, only as a star on the copper map. That one star decided the whole question.
NCERT (2026-27): “Copper … The Copper deposits mainly occur in Singhbhum district in Jharkhand, Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh and Jhunjhunu and Alwar districts in Rajasthan.”
