Find the ratio of y - k  :  x - k

\(\frac{3}{5}\)

Correct Answer:

\(\frac{4}{5}\)

Explanation:

             1          2          3

Given, x - y  :  y - z  :  z - k = 2  :  3  :  5

Add all of them ⇒

x - y + y - z + z - k = 10

x - k = 10

Now add 2 and 3

y - z + z - k = 3 + 5

 y - k = 8

Now, \(\frac{y - k}{x - k}\) = \(\frac{8}{10}\) = \(\frac{4}{5}\)
