According to question ,

Let population of village = 100

20% of the inhabitants died of malaria

Remaining = 80

30% of the remaining inhabitants left the village

Remaining = 70% of 80 = 56

Given :

56 = 12000

100 = \(\frac{12000}{56}\) × 100 = 21428.5714

Ans = 21428
