Practicing Success
There are two statements marked as Assertion (A) and Reason (R). Mark your answer as per the options given below. Assertion (A): Shares subscribed on which the total nominal (face) value of the share is called-up and received by the company is shown as 'Shares Subscribed and Fully Paid-up under Subscribed Capital on the face of the Balance Sheet. |
Both, Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are correct and Reason (R) is the correct explanation of the Assertion (A). Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are correct but the Reason (R) is not the correct explanation of Assertion (A). Only Assertion (A) is correct Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are not correct. |
Both Assertion (A) and Reason (R) are not correct. |
The correct answer is option 4- Assertion and reason both are incorrect. Assertion is incorrect because subscribed and fullpaid up capital will be shown in the notes to account not balance sheet. In balance sheet last final amount will be shown. Reason is also incorrect because subscribed and fullpaid capital will be shown under the head 'subscribed and fullpaid capital' not under the head 'subscribed and not fullpaid up capital'. This may be noted that the information of shareholders funds are presented on the face of financial statements limited only to broad and significant items. Details are given in Notes to Accounts. |
