The correct answer is Option (2) → Bihar
The ancient Nalanda University (Nalanda Mahavihara) stood near Rajgir in present-day Bihar. Founded under the Gupta rulers in the 5th century CE, it drew students from China, Korea and Tibet, among them the Chinese pilgrim Xuanzang, and was destroyed by Bakhtiyar Khalji around 1200 CE. A new Nalanda University was set up near the ruins in 2010.
