Explanation:

The number of hexagons on football = \(\frac{T.S.A.\;of\;sphere}{area\;of\;hexagon}\) 

T.S.A. of sphere = 4 \(\pi \)r2

                        = 616 cm2

Area of hexagon = 6  × \(\frac{\sqrt {3}}{4} {side}^2\)

                       = \(\frac{3}{2}\) \(\sqrt {3}\) × (3.2)2

                       = 26.624 cm2

No. of hexagons = \(\frac{616}{26.64}\) = 23
