⇒ 4, 11, 8, 4, 13

Step-1: Arrange the data in ascending order: 4, 4, 8, 11, 13

Step-2: Number of terms (n) = 5 (odd)

Step-3: Median of odd number of data = (\(\frac{n\;+\;1}{2}\))^th term

Hence,

Median = (\(\frac{5\;+\;1}{2}\))^th term = 3rd term (from step-1) = 8
