Question:

Study the graph and answer the question.

The number of workers in the factory whose daily wages are ₹500 or more but less than ₹650 is what percentage more than the number of workers whose daily wages are ₹650 or more but less than ₹750? (Your answer should be correct to one decimal place.)

Options:

45.8

84.5

76.6

75.4

Correct Answer:

84.5

Explanation:

Number of workers with daily wages b/w 500 & 650 = 58 + 72 + 60  = 190

Number of workers with daily wages b/w 650 & 750 = 55 + 48 = 103

Required percentage = \(\frac{190 - 103 }{103}\) × 100

= \(\frac{87 }{103}\) × 100

= 84.5%
