⇒ Income = 3x : 8x

⇒ Savings = 9y : 25y

According to the question,

⇒ 3x = 8x - 25y.

⇒ 8x - 3x = 25y

⇒ 5x = 25y

⇒ x : y = 25 : 5 = 5 : 1

⇒ Expenditure of A = 3x - 9y = 3(5) - 9(1) = 15 - 9 = 6

⇒ Expenditure of B = 8x - 25y = 8(5) - 25(1) = 40 - 25 = 15
