Correct answer: option 2
The correct answer is Option (2) → (A)-(III), (B)-(IV), (C)-(II), (D)-(I)
(A) Montevideo — this matches (III) Uruguay. Montevideo is a port on the south-eastern coast of South America.
(B) Cape Town — this matches (IV) South Africa. Cape Town is a port at the southern tip of Africa.
(C) New Orleans — this matches (II) United States of America. New Orleans is a port on the southern coast of the USA.

Note 1: The given answer is as per the official NTA Answer Key. The book names the country only for Cape Town (the Blue Train runs from Cape Town to Pretoria in the Republic of South Africa). Montevideo, New Orleans and London are only marked on the map of major sea routes and sea ports (Fig. 7.9), and their countries are read from their places on the map.
Note 2: The sea route map shows all four ports, but not their countries. Keep an atlas open when you study a map in NCERT.
