As per Article 21 of the constitution, 'A person can be deprived of his or her 'right to life or personal liberty' only by the procedure established by law". What does it mean? |
This means that there has to be a law to deprive a person of his right to life or personal liberty. This means that any law that limits or takes away one's right to life and personal liberty must contain a procedure that is fair and reasonable and not arbitrary.
