In a job, $Z_1, Z_2$ and $Z_3$ work for 8, 10 and 15 days, respectively. The ratio of the daily wages of $Z_1, Z_2$ and $Z_3$ is $3: 4: 4$, respectively. If they receive ₹ 4,960 as total wages for the work done, then what is the combined share of $Z_2$ and $Z_3$ in the total wages received?

Daily wages  = Z1 : Z2 : Z3 = 3  : 4 : 4

⇒ New efficiency = Z1 : Z2 : Z3 = (3 x 8)  : (4 x 10) : (4 x 15) = 24 : 40 : 60

⇒ Total amount they get for working together = Rs. 4960.

⇒ (24 + 40 + 96)x = 4960,

⇒ 124x = 4960,

⇒ x = 40,

⇒ Share of Z2 and Z3 = 40 + 60 = 100 x 40 = Rs. 4000.
