Question:

Study the given histogram that shows the marks obtained by students in an examination and answer the question that follows.

If the total marks obtained by students be represented as a pie chart, then the central angle corresponding to marks 250 or more but less than 300 is: (correct to the nearest degree)

Options:

188°

88°

68°

128°

Correct Answer:

88°

Explanation:

Total marks = 30 + 45 + 60 + 35 + 35 + 40 + 35 = 245

Marks B/w 250 & 300 = 60

Required Central angle corresponding to Marks B/w 250 & 300 =  \(\frac{60}{245}\) × 360º

= 88.16º

= 88º      (correct to the nearest degree)
