The first person to use crystal for radio wave detection was:
Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 1
The correct answer is Option (1) → J.C. Bose
Jagadish Chandra Bose was the first to use a crystal (a semiconductor such as galena, lead sulphide) to detect radio waves. In his experiments of the 1890s on very short radio waves (microwaves) he used such a crystal as a detector, and in 1904 he received a United States patent for it, the first patent for a semiconductor crystal detector. Crystal detectors later became the heart of the early “crystal radio” sets.
