The two parallel sides of a trapezium are 27 cm and 13 cm respectively. If the height of the trapezium is 8 cm, then what is its area in m2? |

We know that, Area of trapezium = \(\frac{1}{2}\)× (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between parallel sides) We have, Length of parallel sides = 27 cm and 13 cm Height = 8 cm Now, 27 cm = 0.27 m 13 cm = 0.13 m 8 cm = 0.08 m Area of trapezium = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × (0.27 + 0.13) × (0.08 ) = \(\frac{0.4}{2}\) × 0.08 = 0.20 × 0.08 = 0.016 m2 |
