Question:

Let $f(x)=|x|$ and $g(x)=[x],$ then the value of $fog(-\frac{9}{2})-gof(-\frac{9}{2})$ is :

Options:

-1

1

-9

9

Correct Answer:

1

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option (2) → 1

$fog\left(-\frac{9}{2}\right)-gof\left(-\frac{9}{2}\right)$

$=f\left(\left[-\frac{9}{2}\right]\right)-g\left(\left|-\frac{9}{2}\right|\right)$

$=f(-5)-g(\frac{9}{2})$

$=|-5|-[\frac{9}{2}]=5-4=1$
