Explanation:

⇒ sin A = sin 90° = 1, and

⇒ cos B = \(\frac{AB}{BC}\) = \(\frac{1}{2}\)

and

∴ sin A + cos B = 1 + \(\frac{1}{2}\) = \(\frac{3}{2}\)
