Question:

At present the sum of the ages of A, B, C is 100 years, where as 10 years ago, the ratio of their age was 2 : 3 : 2.  Find the present age of A, B and C.

Options:

30 , 45 & 30

25 , 35 & 25

30 , 40 & 30

20 , 30 , 20

Correct Answer:

30 , 40 & 30

Explanation:

Sum of age of A, B and C before 10 years = 100 - (3 × 10) = 70

 10 years ago ratio of age: A , B and C = 2  :  3  :  2   ⇒ 7R

here,

⇒ 7R = 70

⇒ 1R = 10

Therefore,

⇒ 10 yeas ago ages of A, B and C are = 20 , 30 and 20

⇒ Present age of A, B and C = (20 + 10), (30 + 10) and (20 + 10) = 30 , 40 and 30
