What problems were faced by "The Great Leap Forward" campaign?

The GLF campaign which aimed at industrialisation of the economy faced various problems including severe drought that killed about 30 million people in China, it caused a lot of havoc in the country at that time. Also, Russian professionals were called back from China, who were sent to help with the process of industrialisation of the country.
