$\frac{3}{40}$

Explanation:

Param = 24 hrs, Charan = 30 hrs,

⇒ Fraction of total work Param and Charan can do in 1 day = (5 + 4) x 1 = 9 units,   ..(Efficiency × Days = Total work)

⇒ \(\frac{9}{120}\) = \(\frac{3}{40}\),

Therefore, Both of them can do \(\frac{3}{40}\) of work in 1 day.
