How many times do the hour hand and minute hand of a clock coincide in a day?

The two hands coincide at the times 12:00, 1:05, 2:11, 3:16 and ………..

Remember = These coincide every 65 minutes, not 60 minutes.

They coincide 11 times in 12 hours and hence coincide 22 times in 24 hours.

Hence the hands coincide 22 times in a day.
