GK 182 200 120 130 183

Find the difference between 'the range of the numbers of participants in the different Olympiads from College C' and 'the average number of participants per Olympiad from College E' during the given year.

Options:

38

13

37

36

Correct Answer:

38

Explanation:

We know ,

Range = Highest number - Lowest number

The range of the numbers of participants in the different Olympiads from College C

= 250 - 80

= 170

Average number of participants per Olympiad from College E

= \(\frac{112 + 105 + 180 + 80 + 183 }{5}\)

= \(\frac{ 660}{5}\)

= 132

Required difference = 170 - 132 = 38
