Inverse Trigonometric Functions
The value of cos-1(1/2) + 2sin-1(1/2) is equal to-
-2π/3
2π/3
-π/3
π/3
Let cos-1 (1/2) = x. Then, cos x =1/2 = cos (π/3)
so cos-1 (1/2) = (π/3)
Let, sin-1(1/2) = y. Then sin y = 1/2= sin(π/6)
so sin-1 (1/2) = (π/6)
so cos-1(1/2) + 2sin-1(1/2) = (π/3) + (2π/6) = (2π/3)
