The incomes of P and S are in the ratio 7 : 6 and their expenditures are in the ratio 6 : 5 . If each save Rs.2500, then what are their incomes?

Let Income of P & S = 7R & 6R

ATQ,

⇒ \(\frac{7R - 2500}{6R - 2500}\) = \(\frac{6}{5}\)

⇒ 35R - 12500 = 36R - 15000

⇒ R = 2500

Now,

Income of P = 7 × 2500 = 17500/-,

Income of S = 6 × 2500 = 15000/-
