Practicing Success
A bus covered 360 km in 6 hours. If it travels at one-fourth of its usual speed, then how much more time will it take to cover the same distance? |
18 hours 14 hours 12 hours 16 hours |
18 hours |
Speed of bus = \(\frac{360}{6}\) = 60 km/h \(\frac{1}{4}\)th of speed = 15 km/h Time taken with 15 km/h of speed = \(\frac{360}{15}\) = 24 hours Difference in time = 24 - 6 = 18 hours So , 18 hours more time is required with 15 km/h speed . |
