Question:

A and B started a business and out of a total profit of Rs.8800, B takes Rs.700 as a bonus and the remaining profit distributed between them according to their investment. If B invested \(\frac{1}{4}\) more than A. Then find the share of B out of the total profit.

Options:

4500

5200

3800

4900

Correct Answer:

5200

Explanation:

Total profit = 8800

Extra taken by B = 700

Remaining profit = 8800 - 700 = 8100

*If time is same then investment ratio becomes profit ratio*

             A    :   B

Profit:    4    :   5  = 9R

⇒ 9R = 8100

⇒ 1R = 900

B's Profit = 5R = 5 × 900 = 4500

B' s total profit = 4500 + 700 = 5200
