What is the difference (correct up to two decimal places) in average rainfall in two cities per day?

Options:

0.42 mm

0.15 mm

0.66 mm

0.08 mm

Correct Answer:

0.15 mm

Explanation:

⇒ Average rainfall of city 1 = \(\frac{82+78+76.2+81.6+79.4+84+83.8 }{7}\)

= \(\frac{ 565 }{7}\)

⇒ Average rainfall of city 2 =  \(\frac{ 81.6+79.4+78.3+77.7+84+83+82 }{7}\)

= \(\frac{ 566 }{7}\)

⇒ Difference b/w average rainfall of two cities = \(\frac{ 566 }{7}\) - \(\frac{ 565 }{7}\)

= \(\frac{ 1 }{7}\)

= 0.15  (correct up to two decimal places)
