The ratio of the present age of A and B is 5 : 4 . 12 years ago the ratio was 4 : 3. Find the present age of A.

Let age of  A 12 years ago  = 4x and age of B 12 years ago = 3x  Now , according to question  \(\frac{4x+12}{3x+12}\) = \(\frac{5}{4}\) 16x  + 48 = 15x + 60  x = 12 So,        A's Present age = 4 x 12 +12 = 60 years
