Question:

A circle is formed by taking hypotenuse of right triangle as diameter.  Find area of the circle, if other sides of their triangle are 6 cm, 8 cm?

Options:

77 cm2

75 cm2

88 cm2

78.57 cm2

Correct Answer:

78.57 cm2

Explanation:

Diameter (AC) = \(\sqrt {AB^2 + BC^2}\)

                       = \(\sqrt {36 + 64}\)

                       = 10 cm

Radius = 5 cm

Area of circle = \(\pi \) r2

                     = \(\pi \)(25) = 78.57 cm2
