Samir = 10 days. Puneet = 15 days, ⇒ Samir + Puneet worked for 3 days = (3 + 2) x 5 = 15 units. .. (Efficiency × Days = Total work) ⇒ Remaining work is completed with the help of Ashok in 5 days; ⇒ \(\frac{15}{3 + 2 + Ashok}\) = 2 days. ..(\(\frac{Work}{Efficiency}\) = Time) ⇒ \(\frac{15}{5 + Ashok}\) = 2 ⇒ 15 = 10 + 2(Ashok) ⇒ 2(Ashok) = 5 ⇒ Ashok = \(\frac{5}{2}\) = 2.5 (Efficiency) The amount given for the work is Rs. 4500. Share of everyone will be = (3 + 2 + 2.5)x = 4500 ⇒ 7.5x = 4500 ⇒ x = 600. As, Ashok helped in doing half of the work. Therefore his share will be = \(\frac{600}{2}\) = 300 ⇒ 300 x Ashok's efficiency ⇒ 300 x 2.5 = 750 Therefore, Ashok's share will be Rs. 750.
