By their form or shape, rural settlements can be linear, rectangular, circular, star like, T-shaped, double or cross-shaped.
A. Linear — Correct. In a linear pattern, houses stand along a road, railway line, river, canal, the edge of a valley or a levee.
B. T-Shaped — Correct. T-shaped settlements grow at tri-junctions of roads.
C. B-Shaped — Incorrect. There is no such pattern.
D. Rectangular — Correct. Rectangular patterns are found in plain areas or wide inter montane valleys, where roads cut each other at right angles.
