Question:

If $\frac{P}{3}=\frac{Q}{5}=\frac{R}{2}$, then what is the value of (P + 2Q + 3R) : (P + Q + R) ?

Options:

19 : 10

6 : 5

11 : 13

10 : 9

Correct Answer:

19 : 10

Explanation:

$\frac{P}{3}=\frac{Q}{5}=\frac{R}{2}$ =k(say)

⇒ P = 3k, Q = 5k, R = 2k

P + 2Q + 3R = 3k + 10k + 6k = 19k

And P + Q + R = 3k + 5k + 2k = 10k

Thus, the required ratio = 19 : 10
