The Consumer Protection Act 2019 Provides for setting up of three-tier enforcement machinery at the District, State and National levels. They are referred to as the "District Forum', 'State Commission' and the 'National Commission'. There are various reliefs available to a consumer under the Act. The appropriate Consumer Court may pass an order for the removal of defect in goods, replace a defective product, refund the price of the product, pay compensation for the loss suffered, etc. |

| State Commission: It is established by the respective state government and ordinarily function at the state capital. State Commission has a jurisdiction to entertain complaints where value of goods and services paid as consideration exceeds one crore but does not exceed ten crore rupees. If any of the parties are not satisfied by the order of State Commission can appeal against such order to the National Commission within a period of thirty days of such order. |
