If Arun travels a certain distance at 8 km/h, he reaches his destination 12 min early. If he travels at a speed of 6 km/h, he reaches his destination 10 minutes late. Find the speed in (km/h) at which he should travel to reach his destination on time? |
4\(\frac{10}{13}\) 6\(\frac{10}{13}\) 7\(\frac{8}{7}\) 8 |
6\(\frac{10}{13}\) |
Speed → 8 : 6 time → 6 : 8 ↓ ↓ (Diff. 2) → = 22 (given) 6 × 11 = 66... (this time is 12 min earlier) so actual time is = 66 + 12 = 78 S = \(\frac{D}{t}\) D = s × t = \(\frac{8.8 × 60}{78 × 10}\) = \(\frac{88}{13}\) = 6\(\frac{10}{13}\) |
